Safe Levels for AMA2: What an Upgrade Gives and When It Pays
A safe level in NFTAMA is a long-term goal. It is bought for AMA2 with the “Level up” button on the safe card, adds weight at once and, at levels 5 and 10, opens extra mint slots. Each next level costs more than the last, so high levels are something to save for.
What a level gives
- Weight: +8% × quality of the current weight. A Gold safe gains 2–3 times more than a Regular of the same weight.
- Mint slots: levels 5 and 10 each open an extra slot.
- Gene: every 5 levels add +0.25 pp to the safe's rarity gene.
- Fresh weight: 50% of a level's gain counts in the fresh pool for 30 days.
- Account experience: 30% of the AMA2 spent.
What a level costs
Level n costs 100 × 1.5^(n−1) × √(A / A0) AMA2, where A is the safe's weight and A0 the start weight of a new safe in the epoch (35 AM now), and never less than 30 AMA2. Four times heavier — twice as dear; four times lighter — half the price.

Prices in AMA2 for the current epoch, where a new safe weighs 35 AM; the safe gets heavier with every level, so the real total is a bit higher. A Gold safe can go up to level 20 (221,683 AMA2 for level 20 of a 35 AM safe) — a path for big players.

A level never lifts weight above capacity: a full safe must be expanded first.
A levelling strategy
- Level strong safes. A level adds 8% of the weight, while the price grows only as the square root of the weight, so 1 AM through levels is cheapest on heavy safes; a Gold safe also gets 2–3 times more weight for the same AMA2.
- Take forge safes to level 5 or 10: extra mint slots and a stronger gene.
- Key first, then levels: the key raises the weight, and each next level adds +8% of the larger weight.
- A level key from the safe of luck or a challenge gives +1 level for free — at high levels it is worth thousands of AMA2.
